πŸ‘‹ Hello Beautiful Souls!

it’s that time again! This one’s powerful. Don’t miss it.

πŸŽ‰ Poll Time: Let’s Talk Summer Travel! πŸŒ΄πŸ—½

G-Rex had to cancel a 30th anniversary cruise β€” but made magic with a NYC trip. Now we want to know:

πŸ‹ Turning Lemons Into Lemonade

So, G-Rex here πŸ‹πŸ’›

I told you we had to cancel our cruise (30 years, y’all β€” can you believe it?). But instead of sulking, we grabbed life by the metro card and headed to NYC! 🚎🍎

We took the Cornell Bus (comfy, no TSA nonsense), and when we arrived, we hit up all the gems:
🦁 Bronx Zoo
πŸ¦– Natural History Museum
🌳 Central Park strolls
🍸 Drinks at Tavern on the Green
πŸ¦ͺ And FOOD β€” glorious oysters and bakery sweets we can't find in the country!

We came home full, in love, and grateful. There was not much booze, but all the vibes. The best souvenir? A clear head and a full heart.

P.S. Dirty Skittles bloom in Marietta with her garden and a nearly-finished office reno. We talk every day. We laugh every day. And this podcast? It’s still our joy.

What memory-making trips are you looking forward to this summer? βœˆοΈπŸ’¬

🧠 Let’s Talk About OCD (It’s Not Just Neat Freak Stuff)

OCD is more than liking things clean β€” it’s intrusive, anxious thoughts that loop endlessly. πŸŒ€ Real OCD looks like:

β€’ Repeating rituals to feel β€œsafe”

β€’ Mental loops that override logic

β€’ Thoughts that won’t stop no matter how irrational they seem.

Valerie shares her first-ever public convo on the topic β€” and how she’s finding peace in naming her thoughts for what they are.

πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ Meet Our Guest: Valerie Probstfeld

This week, we are honored to feature the incredible Valerie Probstfeld β€” a nurse practitioner, writer, speaker, and dedicated mental health advocate. Valerie is also a mom of three and the founder of To Mom is To Love, a heartfelt platform devoted to exploring the beauty, grit, and vulnerability of motherhood and mental well-being.

Valerie brings a powerful blend of professional knowledge and lived experience to her mission. She speaks passionately about topics like anxiety, mindset, neuroplasticity, mindfulness, and generational healing. Her warm and relatable storytelling helps others see that mental health challenges don’t make us broken β€” they make us beautifully human. πŸ’›

In this episode, Valerie shares her personal experience with OCD β€” a topic she’s written about but never publicly spoken about until now. From her early compulsions as a child to the intrusive thought spirals of adulthood, Valerie opens up with grace, humor, and wisdom. She also reflects on how managing OCD has shaped her parenting, her platform, and her work to break stigma for others.

🧠 Whether you’re a mom juggling all the hats, a healthcare worker navigating burnout, or someone silently struggling with anxious loops, Valerie’s story will speak to your heart.
