👋Hey beautiful humans,
A brand new episode of Sh!t That Goes On In Our Heads drops Tuesday, 8/19/25 at 3 AM ET—and it’s not just any episode.
It’s the Season 12 Ender 🎉 and trust us, this one hits different.
In Mental Health Breakthroughs: Lessons, Laughter & Growth from Season 12, we’re reflecting on what this season gave us: the hard conversations, the hilarious moments, and the healing that came when we didn’t hide the hard stuff. If you’ve ever wondered how to sit with your grief, chase joy, and hold it all at once—this one’s for you.
💔 Sometimes Life Is Hard and Beautiful
This week, life reminded us that emotions don’t travel solo—they bring heartbreak and beauty to the same table. 😔✨
In the G-Rex house, we had to say goodbye to our oldest cat, Precious. 💔 We woke up to find her hiding, stumbling—and we just knew. Living in rural upstate NY means your vet options are either Cornell (with a 6-hour wait) or a road trip. So off we drove to Syracuse, bracing for the news.
Even though I’m wildly allergic to cats (Zyrtec to the rescue), she was family. Her roommate Marbles—and our 6 other cats—are grieving too, so we’re handing out love like treats right now. 🐾
And still… beauty found us. On the drive home from Lake George earlier this week, we skipped traffic and took the long road—literally. We had zero cell service, no plan, and the most jaw-dropping views of rural New York. If you’ve never told your GPS to avoid highways and tolls, try it. You’ll see your world differently. 🌲
Meanwhile in Georgia, Dirty Skittles is easing into back-to-school life. 🏫 New routines, early mornings, and trying not to lose herself in the shuffle. We’re both staying mindful of our mental health this week—giving ourselves permission to feel it all, ask for help, and pause when we need to. 🙏
Last night, we sat at a friend’s house for dinner and grief. They didn’t try to fix us. They just held space. That kind of love? It’s the real deal. 💛
