• Part 1 drops Tuesday, July 29 @ 3 AM ET → Beth and Noel’s Mental Health Journey – Part 1: Surviving the Storm •
Part 2 lands Thursday, July 31 @ 3 AM ET → Beth and Noel’s Mental Health Journey – Part 2: The Caregiver’s Perspective

🎉 G-Rex’s Birthday & Big Book News!
Yesterday I turned the magical, bone-creaky age of 62 🎂 — and while I might look like I’m in my 40s (😉), my joints beg to differ.
The day started with an amazing brunch, surrounded by my wife and some truly beautiful friends. I felt so full, not just from the food, but from the love that surrounded me. I’m truly blessed to have so many incredible people in my life who reached out, sent kind messages, and made me feel seen and celebrated. 💙
Instead of asking for gifts, I asked for random acts of kindness, and y’all seriously showed up. From strangers helped to surprises shared, my heart was overflowing. Dirty Skittles even came through with gifts that had me laughing through tears 🥹💝
But the biggest surprise? 🎁 ✨ I got the call — a hybrid publisher has officially accepted my book!
I chose their top-tier package because it comes with everything I need: marketing, design, distribution — the keys to a kingdom I don’t hold. With two podcasts and a business to run, I need real help. Most importantly, I get to retain ownership of my story and keep it real — curse words, rawness, and all. 💥
📣 I’m launching a Kickstarter campaign tomorrow to help raise the $15,000 needed to bring this book to life. It’s bold. It’s honest. And it’s going to save lives. Stay tuned — I’ll be sharing the link and more details real soon 💙

🧠 Surviving the Storm, Holding the Line:
Beth & Noel on Mental Health, Crisis, and Caregiving
What happens when mental illness becomes part of your love story?
In this raw and deeply personal two-part series, Beth and Noel invite us into their world — a place where eating disorders, suicidal ideation, and trauma recovery aren’t just talked about, they’re lived.
✨ For Beth, it was decades of invisible struggle: toxic family dynamics, disordered eating, and years of misdiagnosis that nearly cost her everything.
✨ For Noel, it meant living in constant readiness — removing medication, memorizing ambulance routes, holding space during every crash.
Together, they tell a story of what it means to survive — not just for yourself, but for someone you love.
💬 This one’s for the partners in the background. Those who keep things quiet, calm, and safe. The ones who say, “I’m fine,” even when they’re not—the ones who never stop showing up.
🧠 Healing Takes a Village
From Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to finding mental health care in Australia, Beth and Noel demonstrate how the environment and proper support can make a significant difference. Noel’s quiet strength reminds us that caregivers carry wounds too — the ones we don’t always see.
📌 Safety Isn’t Simple
Whether it’s removing cords from the blinds or prepping a hospital bag on standby, their story proves that emotional and practical safety are inextricably linked. These are acts of love, not just logistics.
🫂 A Quote That Stayed With Us
“If people love you, they’re going to accept it and do anything for you. That’s what I do for Beth.” – Noel
🎙️ Real Talk from the Hosts
“When Beth talked about being overmedicated and misdiagnosed for years, it hit me how many people are fighting invisible battles and never get the right kind of help.” – G-Rex.
“Noel’s voice cracked one time — and that was all I needed to hear to know the weight he’s been carrying. That kind of quiet pain deserves its spotlight.” – Dirty Skittles
✍️ Reflection Prompts
• What does emotional safety look like in your relationships?
• If you support someone with mental illness, how do you support yourself?
• Are there signs you’ve ignored in your own story that deserve compassion?
🌱 Gentle Reminder: You’re allowed to need help. You’re allowed to set down the weight. You’re allowed to say, “I’m not okay” — even if you’re the one everyone leans on.
👥 Meet Beth & Noel
Beth is a microbiologist whose path to healing has been anything but straightforward. She’s battled anorexia, chronic misdiagnosis, hospitalizations, and the emotional fallout of a childhood steeped in shame and instability. But through it all, Beth has emerged as a powerful voice for recovery. Her honesty about trauma, suicidal ideation, and the transformative role of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is profoundly moving. She reminds us that healing is not about perfection — it’s about persistence, self-compassion, and finding the strength to try again, even when your mind tells you not to.
Noel is not only the sonic backbone of this podcast as our editor — he’s also the heart behind one of the most courageous stories we’ve told. As Beth’s partner of more than two decades, Noel has quietly managed emergencies, tracked medications, called ambulances, and absorbed the emotional aftershocks of countless crises — all while carrying his mental health challenges, including depression and ADHD. His quiet, unwavering presence is a masterclass in compassionate caregiving. And for the first time, he’s sharing what it means to love someone through darkness without losing yourself along the way.
Together, Beth and Noel offer more than just a story — they offer hope. Hope that recovery is possible. Hope that love can carry you through. And hope that even the heaviest stories can be held — with care, courage, and community. 💙
