👋 Hello Beautiful Souls!

Hey podcast fam! 🎧💜 Your favorite duo, G-Rex and Dirty Skittles, are back with a brand-new, empowering and hilarious episode.

Coming this Tuesday, 5/13/25 at 3 AM Eastern – get ready for: 🎙️ “How to Set Boundaries at Work Without Burning Bridges – Tips from Suzanne”

This week’s guest is the incredible Suzanne Culberg, aka The Nope Coach, who’s here to teach you how to stop saying yes when your soul is screaming NO. 🔥

🌈 Let That Inner Child Out to Play

G-Rex here 🦖 and let me tell you — laughter really is the best medicine. Especially when paired with a side of spitballs and mild public humiliation. 😂

So, it had been one of those weeks… the kind where everything feels like a wet sock. But then — boom 💥 — the sun finally broke through the gray skies, and with it, my inner child came barreling out like a sugar-fueled raccoon. ☀️

We hit up lunch with friends on Saturday, and I don’t even remember how it started… but suddenly I spotted a straw. 👀 My friend across the table clocked me holding it. She found hers. Next thing you know: spitballs were flying. My abs got more of a workout than they have all year. I laughed so hard I almost peed. 🤣💦

My wife? Not amused. She bopped me on the head and told me to “act my age.” Naturally, I laughed even harder. Sorry, babe. 🫣💕

Then Sunday came with another joy-bomb: Facebook reels, a phone call with my mischief partner, and even more laughs. My heart felt like it was wrapped in a cozy blanket. 🧣

Meanwhile, Dirty Skittles has been offering snacks and shiny things to crows in hopes they’ll bring her sparkly trinkets. This is not a joke. She’s on her Disney-villain-to-forest-witch journey and I’m here for it. 🪶👑

Oh—and did we mention this entire podcast started with a conversation about squirrels? Yeah. Welcome to our wild, whimsical world.

📄 Episode Description

This week we’re getting real (and really funny) about one of the hardest things to do at work: setting boundaries without blowing up your relationships. Our guest, Suzanne Culberg, is here to show us how to stop being everyone’s go-to yes person and start reclaiming our peace, energy, and sanity.

From learning to say no at work (without being seen as “difficult”) to redefining what it means to be helpful, this episode will leave you feeling empowered, understood, and ready to shut down the guilt spiral. 💼🛑

Expect laughs, truth bombs, and some juicy “been-there” stories from the workplace trenches. 🎙️

🎧 Meet Our Guest: Suzanne Culberg – The Nope Coach 👑

Suzanne Culberg is the kind of guest who shows up, tells it like it is, and makes you feel like you’re being hugged and lovingly roasted all at once. 😆

A self-proclaimed sweary fairy with a sharp mind and a big heart, Suzanne is on a mission to help people—especially women—reclaim their time, their voice, and their joy by learning to say NOPE without guilt or apology.

🔍 Who is Suzanne?

  • 💬 Known online as The Nope Coach
  • 🧠 Certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • 🎓 Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours)
  • 💪 Holds Certificates III & IV in Fitness
  • 🌊 Certified Sacred Depths Practitioner
  • 📚 Author of the refreshingly honest memoir, The Beginning is Sh*t: An Unapologetic Weight Loss Memoir*

She lives in Sydney, Australia with her husband Jeremy and their two incredible kids. When she’s not coaching or cracking up her audience, she’s probably doing Diamond Dotz, binge-reading spicy fantasy novels, or avoiding group texts like a pro introvert.

And yes, she will say “f*ck no” with love and confidence — and teach you to do the same.

🌱 Setting Boundaries & Saying No: A Mental Health Power Move

Why Boundaries Matter:

Boundaries aren’t walls—they’re bridges to better relationships. They help you:

  • Protect your time and energy
  • Prioritize your needs without guilt
  • Reduce anxiety and avoid burnout
  • Say yes to yourself instead of obligation

How to Say No (Without Being a Jerk):

  • “I’m not available for that right now.”
  • “Thanks for thinking of me, but I need to pass.”
  • “That’s not something I can commit to.”

You don’t need a long explanation. “No” is a full sentence. ✅

Host Real Talk:

“Saying no helped me reclaim my time and peace. Now I say yes with intention.” – G-Rex “I used to think saying no made me a bad friend. Turns out, it made me a better one.” – Dirty Skittles

💡 Key Takeaways

  1. Boundaries protect your mental health — not your calendar.
  2. “No” doesn’t burn bridges. In fact, it builds better ones.
  3. Resentment is the tax we pay for saying yes when we mean no.

✅ Actionable Tips

  1. Practice saying “no” to small asks—it gets easier with time.
  2. Use boundary-friendly phrases that express self-respect.
  3. Track how long “five-minute favors” really take—bring data to your next convo.
